His fearlessness isn't an act.

Tim Robbins is not afraid. As an actor, the UCLA Theater, Film and Television grad has never shied away from diverse roles. He’s run the gamut from comic in Bull Durham to haunting in Mystic River, which earned him the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. Robbins has also challenged himself behind the camera as a writer and director with projects like Dead Man Walking, which gave him an Oscar nomination for Best Director. His films have naturally led to celebrity status, and Robbins has famously used that public platform to speak out on social and political issues, such as his opposition to the War in Iraq. Voicing his opinion in 2003 led to the cancellation of a Bull Durham anniversary celebration at the Baseball Hall of Fame. At the time, Robbins said of the decision: “It scares me to think millions of Americans might be intimidated into shutting up.” He, for one, will not be intimidated.
