J`辛普森的首席律师Johnnie Cochran，这是在他在看到被指控谋杀妻子和妻子友人的前著名足球运动员辛普森很难带上带血的手套时说的话。但是除了他的名人当事人，Johnnie Cochran个人也是为弱势群体伸张正义的知名律师。开始他的辩护职业之后，也就是1978年，他成为洛杉矶助理地区检察官。Cochran曾为其辩护的当事人有名人（迈克·杰克逊，Sean Combs，辛普森），备受争议的人物（Black Panther Elmer “Geronimo” Pratt）以及受害者（Abner Louima，遭受纽约市警折磨的海地移民。）

But besides his celebrity clients, Cochran was well known as a ferocious defender of the powerless. After starting his defense practice, he was Assistant District Attorney for Los Angeles County in 1978. Cochran made an impact, representing the famous (Michael Jackson and Sean Combs, as well as Simpson), the controversial (Black Panther Elmer "Geronimo" Pratt) and the victimized (Abner Louima, the Haitian immigrant tortured by New York City police officers).
